Purple Coneflower with Butterfly

Purple Coneflower with Butterfly

Yeah, I am as original at naming my photographs as I am at naming my recipes.

Also, I already have my first cold of the school year. It's all there, stuffy nose, sore throat, headache, teeth hurt, ears stopped up. What fun. And it's only September 2nd. I've tried so hard. I wash my hands a zillion times a day, I wash my desk, computer, mouse, door handles, everything once a day. It's hopeless.

I have a very similar picture. A few years ago, we had a mass infusion of painted lady moths and they just made a beeline for the pink echinacea in my flower bed.

Although the painted lady is a moth, it looks extremely similar to the butterfly in your picture, minus the sort of long tail fin.

Don't know how to share the photo with you.

Oh my gosh! This photo is beautiful; that butterfly appears so crisp and clear! What luck to have had your camera with you at just the right moment!

So sorry to hear that you've caught a case of "school plague". As I dropped my girls off for their first day today, I reminded them to wash their hands as often as possible. I give it a week before they both have stuffy noses. Hope you feel better soon!

It looks like a purple daisy! That's a really nice picture. Sorry about the cold. I sent my girls off to college with barrels of vitamin C to try to avoid the colds which always run rampant! Sorry it's attacked you so soon.

Redforever - I would love to see a picture of your moth, you could email it to me, or point me towards a link.

Paula - Seriously schools are awful, someone is always sick.

Preppy - thank you!

Noble - he was a very slow moving butterfly. He sat there and waited while I ran inside and got my camera.

Marjie - I've upped my vitamin C. Nothing helps me!

Well, it was my intention to e-mail you the photos and maybe I am blind, but I have searched your whole site and can't find your e-mail address or a place to click and contact you.
