What Happened?

Does this happen to anyone else? You are getting out of the shower, or bath, or whatever method you use to remove the daily grime, and you are standing there naked (or has they like to say here in the south..nekid) and you notice a bruise. Now, I'm not talking a little bruise, but a huge monstrous bruise, and you have no idea how you got it!

This happens to me all the time. The latest is this enormous bruise on my leg. It is about 5 inches across, and all shades of purple, to blue, to yellow, to green. It's nasty. I have no idea how I got it. How could I get something so obviously painful and not know it?? What makes it even weirder is that it's on the back of my calf! I can understand running into something, but how does one fall back on something??

We are all red here. You would swear that hubby beats me, I beat him, and the kids all beat each other. Actually, sometimes we aren't white people so much as blue and purple and green and yellow people. I have one on each calf presently; it ain't pretty! Hubby has one on his side - maybe I sucker punched him when neither of us was paying attention?

Ow!!! My shins and hips are bruise magnets. I have to tell you that I was thinking of you the other day when I saw a group of young girls who obviously had been experimenting with their eye shadow. I just smiled and tried to keep my eyes in my sockets! Wow, though. Wow. Wow. Wow. I fear there will be a shortage of eye products soon!

I thought I was the only one!!! I always tell my husband he must beat me in his sleep. I also have bruises constantly below my elbows from doorknobs... can't seem to miss those.

Umm, all the time! I am always wondering how these things happened. I guess we'll never know.

happens to me too--but my 21 mos old has been crawling into our bed and she kicks and then there is the dog, so I blame them.

Well, did you bang your leg on the corner of a table, chair, counter or doorway? Did you take any Advil or asprin type of OTC med in the past few days. I was told by a toxicologist that some OTC meds like Advil are mild blood thinners and will cause bruising and cuts to be worse.
