Nosey?

Fridge

Nosey? I am. I love peeking in people's houses. I like to walk in the early evening when people have turned on their lights, but they haven't closed their blinds yet. Not in a creepy way, but I like to see how they've decorated their houses.

When I look at people's pictures on their blogs, I strain to make out bits and pieces of things behind the subject. I even lean to the right or left, as if I can peer around the object and see the rest of your room, or your kitchen, or your stove, whatever.

There's a bit of a voyeur in all of us, don't you think?

C'mon people show me your fridge.

P.S. And yes, I drink boxed wine, don't judge me.

I almost wrecked my car one evening before Christmas looking in this ladies house..she had such beautiful decorations! I would take a photo of my fridge but it is empty..It bit the dust last night..RIP..1988-2009 We were the 2nd owner. Yeah!! Time for a new one!

I'll show you mine after grocery day, which is today. Right now it is empty. We have two extra people in our home for now, and it emties pretty fast.

I also love to see others' homes. I'm the kind that goes to an open house just to see how the house is designed. But my third child takes it to new depths. When he was 4-5 yrs old he could glance in a person's window, passing by at 25-30 mph, and tell us whether their ceiling fans were on or off. He has a love affair with fans. Yeah, so anyway. You don't want to look in my fridge...it's scary. Maybe next week after I've cleaned it out and went grocery shopping. BTW...my favorite part of the Rachael Ray mag is the celebrity fridge!

PS. I love your fridge. What kind is it and how big? We have a rinky-dink thing that's way too small for a family of six.

This post is so funny! My family is both horrified and astounded that I like to look in people's houses at dusk too! You're right, it's not about the people, it's about their decorating. It's like going through model homes, kind of.
My box is white...

That is me, too! LOL, I am an embarrassment to my husband sometimes!

Oh thank you LORD for this blog! Let me tell you, my husband has given me no amount of grief over the fact that I like looking into other peoples houses. But it is so nice to hear of others who feel the same way as I do! When you have lived in government quarters or apartments all your life... well you look inside other peoples houses (since it is exactly the same as yours, floor plan wise...) and you look to see how they arranged things in their space! It's actually an educational peek for me. Give's me ideas on how I can decorate my place. I'm showing my hubby this blog! =-)

How great to know someone else loves to look in people's houses! It's the main reason, along with clouds and contrails, that I walk at dusk when I can. After seeing your chaos-free fridge, I'm not sure I can show mine!

I'll take a picture one of these days for you. That's why I took the pictures of my favorite things in my house a while back, because everyone likes to have a peek into the lives of others.

Whoa! That fridge is the utopia of fridges! I can't show you mine because a) I wouldn't want to be responsible for causing you to faint because b) you would gasp at how messy it is, and c) did I mention it's messy (clean, but messy)? Excuse me while I go reorganize my fridge.

Ditto on that one! My fridge has too many bottles of assorted olives, mustards, and other things with all current dates on them. I can't bare to dispose of them yet. I too love to look in houses at dusk. Must be a girl thing. It's just curiosity to me. I also look in the background of peoples blog pictures to see the decorations. Fun stuff!!

I love this glimpse into your inner foodland! (I can tell you this...you're waaaay neater than we are.)

It seems there are many of us! I love looking in someones home to get ideas for my own and the same with blog kitchen pictures. You never know when you might see something they're doing that makes perfect sense that you never thought of before!

Thanks for sharing because that's a gorgeous fridge interior.

you would shreeeek in terror if you saw my fridge or house right now.. going on 8 months of interupted right hand usage and my space is very, very scary. Did you know that you have to ask a man to wash the tub... every week?

This is the natural companion to Other People's Pantries, which has been running on my blog every Saturday for more than a year. We are all voyeurs a bit, aren't we?

Your fridge is so clean and organized! My drawers sit on wooden planks so the contents don't freeze, and are always askew. And I have a serious addiction to jars, bottles, and condiments of all kinds... it's scary.

Oh, I love looking into people's firdges! Yours is so neat! Teehee.

I'm another one! I've never EVER run across another person that loves to peek in people houses !
My favorite "have a peek place" in my town, is the mansion area around the lake. I have to force myself to keep walking so that no one will think I'm casing the joints!
It's kind of comforting to find that money doesn't always buy taste though! lol!

No to worry...I used to drink boxed wine all the time...and then I decided I deserved better!!

Your fridge is lovely...organized and clean!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Now that I have seen all the food you cook, I can say very definitively that I would eat pretty much all your leftovers. :)

Okay. Come on over! I bared my refrigerator for you...

E Mama - I'm sorry about your fridge, but yay for getting a new one.

Kat - okay, I'm waiting for grocery day.

Bigsis - that' my favorite part of the mag too. Though I wonder how mcuh they fix it up. My fridge is an LG. I don't know how big it is, it's one of those french doors with the freezer drawer on the bottom. I love it.

Shabby - apparently there are more of us peekers than we thought.

Terri - you'll have to tell him that it seems to be a common affliction.

Joan - maybe we need to start house peekers anonymous.

Doris - you're amongst friends here, we all love to look.

Marjie - how many fridge pictures would you have to post 2 or 3!

Paula - mine is not clean, I'm just pretty obsessive about where things go. I hate to have to look for something in the fridge.

Kathy - apparently it's a girl thing, especially amongst those who blog!

Love - not neat, just weirdly ordered when it comes to my fridge.

April - your amongst friends!

Chellebelle - oh you poor thing!

Lydia - yes, and I keep meaning to take a picture of my pantry.

Judi - thanks, loved it!

Natashya - wooden planks!

Ts - let's see yours.

Tater - I'm with you, I love looking in the ritzy homes.

Nancy - I know I deserve better, but I keep it around for cooking, and then it's so easy to drink!

Antoinette - you're sweet!

Shabby - I saw! Thanks for the peek.

Love the fridge. Grass fed Milk? definately better than all the mass-corn-feed operations out there!

I know exactly what you mean. That is not creepy at all.

My favorite time to look at the way people have their homes decorated is Christmas. My family used to go Christmas tree hunting - where we would drive around the neighborhood looking in each homes window to look for the best Christmas tree.

That is some fridge, very organized! Thanks for sharing, I drink boxed wine too.

I don't understand "deserve better" what does that mean? With packaging costs increasing, I believe we will see more packaging options in all foods.

I think you must be related to me & my sisters. We are terrible about being curious (I like that better than nosey lol)about people and their taste in decorations, etc. Thanks for the smile!!

That is one neat fridge! I'm nowhere near that neat & organised - well, I sort of am in the pantry, but the fridge gets untidy because of the constant comings & goings of food.

P.S. in the spirit of noseiness, do you have a link to your smugmug galleries (if you have any public)? Would love to see how you use it.

Nosey? - me too! I love taking walks in the early evening and then, of course, I imagine how I would redecorate people's homes! In a nice way! I came your way from ShabbyGirl's blog. BTW, our fridge could not hold a candle to yours or hers. I'm not very organized that way, plus I had to give up the boxed wine a few years ago. Oh, how I miss it.

My fridge is scary. It's small and old so everything is jam-packed in. And I have an entire shelf of jams and pickled and fermented things.

There's a Flickr group called "Corners of My Home" that I love browsing through.

That's one organized fridge you have.

I just bopped over from Urban Hennery. Never in my life has my frigde looked that neat and tidy! Yours is amazing! But I'm even more impressed with how many books you read each year. :)
