You know, sometimes you feel like making a fuss and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you feel like assembling an array of ingredients and creating a feast. And sometimes you feel like sitting on the porch with a bottle of a lovely summer white wine and letting the grill do all the work.
Easy grilling = grilled brats smothered in mustard and sauerkraut and grilled rosemary potato packets. Oh, and more wine.

yum!
Pam, I made a potato packet as well...dinner, table setting, wine are all outdoors...keep it simple and tasty.
multi-tasking at the grill....LOVE it!!
I do love me some brats... I usually boil them in beer so they don't dry out on the grill, & to ensure they're coked thoroughly before they get some color on the grill.
Sounds like the perfect meal! Beautiful nights on the porch are not to be missed!
In most cases doesn't grilling equal hubby working? Yes, keep the wine coming. These look wonderful.
yum!
Ooooh, this is my idea of a yummy meal. Gotta love the grill ... and no pots or pans to wash! Hooray for the packets!
yummm... we are actually having a "foil" dinner tonight!
I am all for letting the grill do the work! Looks tasty!
Beautiful! And I love that you use only mustard and kraut on your brats, as that's what I use on mine. :)
On the other hand, my husband actually puts KETCHUP on his brats! Ketchup, and no sauerkraut! Very disturbing.
Long - it was yum!
Peter - you know what they say about great minds!
cagrown - yes, I am a great muli-tasker.
Samj - I do the beer thing too. It really plumps them up, doesn't it?
Jenn - It's my favorite part of warm weather.
Marjie - unfortunately hubby doesn't grill. All things involving heat and food are my domain.
Pearl - yes, it was.
Paula - packets are wonderful, aren't they?
C3 - what are you making?
Natashya - I'm all for anything other than me doing the work.
WYO - ketchup on brats! Oh my. We must plan an intervention, it is for his own good.
Wanted to let you know we tried preparing the potatoes as you've shown. Wonderful!
