I bet your yard is beautiful! Mine are all gone :( One of the sad things is they just don't last long enough (the blooms). Enjoy them while you can and BTW, it is the law of the south.
I am delighted to learn that you are a law abiding citizen, and have an appropriate showing of azaleas. Ours will bloom in another week or 2. We did actually look at a house in Philly situated on 2 acres, and the entire front yard was azaleas. Really. I forget what the count was, but it was over 200, and they made a huge deal out of this in the selling points. Forget the kitchen, count the azaleas!
i've been away these past couple of weeks, since planting them. so, i'm not completely sure how long they've lasted before turning.. but from the looks of the photos my darling daughter has sent to me, they look like they're holding up alright. :) they've had quite a bit of rain.. so wonder if that's helped?

I believe it's peer pressure if you don't have one in your yard. I bought one a few weeks ago. So, I am now up to speed. :)

WOW! Those are gorgeous. I'll be glad to have my own house again so I can start landscaping. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
They are gorgeous! I miss having them...and camelias. I think there's too much heat and sun here for them. So I appreciate seeing yours!

Mine are almost blooming. I have a fire-orange double-blossom that is breathtaking.
In the NW, we have the same law about roses and rhodies.

Such a pretty lipstick pink color! And, yes, I recall when I lived in Augusta, GA, EVERYONE had at least one azalea bush blooming in the front yard.
