Hi Pam, Nectaroscordum is a bulb, related to lillies and onions I believe. It's beautiful and does well in semi-shaded places too. I hope you can find it, it would look lovely with the Astilbe.

These are mazing! I always read that astilbe is a good flower to plant with Hosta. These are absolutely full blown gorgeous!!
