I am a morning person. I love it. Everything about it. During the school year, I usually get to work around 6:30am. I pretty much miss morning. So, in the summer, my very favorite luxury is coffee on my back porch in the early morning.
I love the angle of the sun. Bright, but not.
Everything looks so crisp and clean in the light. It fills me with energy and refreshes me, and makes me ready to embrace the day.
Apparently it doesn't have that effect on everyone.

I am a morning person as well! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I like to wake up early so I can eat sooner and then go exercise/get my day started.
Morning is my favorite time of day too, especially Saturday mornings when I don't have to be somewhere and can enjoy the quiet before my family is up. I am jealous of your screened-in porch....it IS screened, right?
Love your patio. And the blue insulators. I have some of those and don't know what to do with. Have had them for years.

I am a morning-person-wanna-be! I'm up early by default, not by choice. However, since no one else in my family is a morning person, I could have some time to myself to do whatever I felt like doing! I think, perhaps, that it would be a WONDERFUL idea for my hubby to construct a back porch for me so I could be an enthusiastic morning person. Since I've already placed blame for the new cookbook at your feet, I think it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to say that the porch idea was yours, too! :-) Love your porch. It looks wonderful with those colorful glass pieces and potted plants and the white wicker furniture! I can almost hear the birds chirping outside your screened windows!
i also love mornings.. usually the quiet, mixed with the birds chirping their morning songs.. just makes me reflect and thank God for the breath in my lungs. btw... love your porch!

I'm with Smudge, here. The only sunrises I've seen are on my way to bed! I am the person who leaves at 10PM, so I can be in Myrtle Beach at 9AM for breakfast and a nap. But I do love your porch.

I have never been a morning person and don't think I ever will. I grudgingly wake up at 6:30 to make it to work. Heck half the time I am not even coherent until at least my fourth cup of coffee.

My mom collects those insulators too. And since my hubby works for the electric co, she has more than she knows what to do with now!
I too am a morning person... raised by my grandparents. My Papa always said the early bird gets the worm. I still wake up very early.

I'm not a morning person, but I really enjoy spending time on my balcony with a crisp glass of wine and a good book after I get home from work in the evenings. I especially enjoy it if there's a nice big fat round full moon! I'm looking forward to my night blooming jasmine and moonflowers to start blooming!
