Is there anything more uplifting than Black Eyed Susans? I don't think so! And the gardener who plants black eyed susans is also happy because they require no work at all. Plant them and forget them. They cheerfully battle it out with my purple coneflowers for the coveted who can "take over the garden" prize.
Check out the little bug captured in flight!

The bright yellow is so gorgeous!
I love those flowers. So pretty and the little bug pic is wonderful.
Those were my granmother's favorites. Remember that our field was full of them and it was so awesome to see.
Awesome! The photo with the bug...like a Manet! Love it!
Wow, they really add tons of color to the yard and garden! I didn't realize they were easy to grow. In my on-going novice green thumb existence, I'm all for easy to grow things (besides weeds). These are lovely and their name is so fun. Love the in flight critter ... great shot! :-)
I love black eyed susans but haven't had any in my gardens for years. Beautiful photos!
I can't believe you caught the little bug in flight! You take some great pictures!
I love these! Great shot with the little bug! :0)
I have a bunch right now, too. I love how happy they are!
My garden is filled with hundreds of black-eyed Susans, some wild and some cultivars. They are perfect in front of our log house -- both the house and the flowers are a bit old-fashioned!
Gorgeous flowers! Nice job on the bug pic.
These have always been one of my favorite flowers. They remind me of driving the highway on the way to somewear fun.
I love, love, love black-eyed susans!
I have many of these. I love them also. They are so cheery, like little faces!
Oh I see the bug, cool!
I have roses upon roses, may need something else, I love the idea of these as an accent.
