What Was it Wednesday? More duck.

Duck with Cold Sesame Noodles

You’re looking at June 8, 2008.  “Hey, wait a minute?!”  you sputter, indignantly.  We looked at June 8, 2008, last Wednesday.  Yes.  You did.  If I had looked at the photo right next to the duck, I would have seen this photo.  The photo of how I served the duck.  I believe that is the breast.  Carved and served with cold sesame noodles.  I believe it was good, all be it, a bit monochromatic.  Don’t worry.  This is the end of the duck.  There will be no need for sputtering next week.

meanwhile, on an unrelated note, i just read ‘the face of death’ by cody mcfayden because i saw it on your blog. not only could i not put it down, but i found it fascinating and downright disturbing at the same time. i’ll be reading more of his stuff–thanks for the tip!

Did you know that in the very early 1900s it was all the rage to serve monochromatic meals? so one might have served beef with tomato aspic and beets. I wouldn’t be able to stand it! Gotta have green mixed in with those colors. But I’d still like to have that duck – and a salad would have ruined the monotone effect, right?
