Gumdale Chardonnay, 2008, Southeastern Australia, $6.99. They say: this Chardonnay exhibits citrus and honeydew flavors further complexed by cream French oak aromas. The palate is soft yet fresh with balanced acidity and a soft creamy finish. We say: peach, citrus, creamy and soft. Finishes clean and citrusy. Buy again: Yes!!

I like the sound of the honeydew flavor. Those Aussies know how to do it right.
yeap, Australia is the place for inexpensive, better than the price wines... shhh, don't tell em or they will raise the prices
Love the series BTW
I've had a hard time finding a good Chardonnay for less then ten bucks. Thanks for the review on this one. I'll be one the lookout for it. :)
I would love to try these things out that you review.. if only my face didn't turn numb at the first taste of alcohol (clear indication of the start of allergic reaction my doc says...) you always make it sound so good.
I haven't been one to try non-Californian chardonnays but after reading this, I will give it a try. I think the Aussies have good shiraz.
Nice photo too, Pam.
This one sounds delicious and you can't beat that price. ;-)
