Weekend Wine Reviews #37

Trader Joe’s Honey Moon Viognier, 2008, California.  $6.99.  They say:  Our honeymoon Viognier is named after the June full moon, which signifies the moment when the sweet scent of flowers turn into young grapes, creating the lush, full bodied wine with peach, apricot and honeysuckle aromas followed by luscious honey, mango and nectar.  We say:  we wish we lived near Trader Joe’s.  We would be so happy.  Buy again:  yes!!!

I saw this at TJ's last time I was in there and LOVED the bottle. And totally thought of you! Now that you've reviewed it, I shall have to buy it!

That is one of my best friends' favorite wine! I, however, have not tasted it. Lovely bottle!
Another Trader Joe's item we tried (and LOVED) recently is TJ's Roasted Seaweed Snack!!! OH MY LORD, we are addicted! It's like tasty, healthy potato chips, except it's seaweed. It's very thin papery-like things, but when you put them in your mouth, they change consistency. Would you try it if I sent you a pkg?

I've really enjoyed all of the Moon wines from TJ's. I haven't tried this one yet. I'll have to pick it up.

Ahh...if only we had a TJ here--I love them, and that wine--the name, bottle and description. ;-)

I've passed this by and wondered about it. No longer wondering - I'll be putting it on my list for next week. Thanks Pam.

Looks and sounds delicious - I have never had catfish - I don't think we get that in New Zealand. And yes, I am so totally a "decanter"!

I work at a TJ's, sadly in a state that does not allow beer & wine sales. However, I brought a bottle of this wine home (2007 vintage) from a neighboring state. It was amazing! May I say I kept the bottle to remind me check for it again.....Thanks for reminding me it's time for another road trip!
