I had the same thing happen to my Hollyhocks as well. Any ideas on what may have caused it?

I've heard rats like hollyhocks, but I doubt it could chew this beautiful of a pattern! :-) Great photos.

Wow - it's rather beautiful isn't it? We have a big ugly kind of worm that does the same thing to our kumquats. Ya' gotta' hate 'em even thought hey do beautiful work. LOL
