Garden Tuesday–White Tailed Squirrel

It’s been a while since I posted some pictures of our white-tailed squirrel.  He is pretty noticeable all year long, but in the fall, when the leaves are off the trees and he is busy gathering his nuts for winter, his bright white tail is visible all over the place!

He is beautiful, we have lots of squirrels, but no white tail ones. One of the squirrels in the back yard comes up to the slider on the porch and looks in, when wanting peanuts.

Somehow he reminds me of winter and fall and the holidays. Not sure why...

Great pics. How fun to what a white tailed squirrel. We have plenty on our feeders and I keep the bird bath full for the squirrels, birds and lizards. One of our squirrels will follow me to the mail box just to see if I will give him some food.

I like how you call him "yours". It's a lot like "my" cardinal.

Growing up we had a squirrel named Herman that lived in our tree. He would almost feed out of our hand. (Mom wouldn't let us try.)

I love your photos. I like the natural colors and sharpness.

Hi Pam, Is he the ONLY one---or do you have several with white tails? I haven't seen one of those before. They are pretty, aren't they????

Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

Those are the best pictures! He is adorable. We don't see squirrels here. Max would *love* him. ;-)

Awww, I love squirrels! I've never seen a white tailed one. There are black squirrels in Princeton which I've never seen anywhere else!

I have never seen one! Love that you were able to catch such a fast lil' guy in some beautiful pics!

White Tailed Squirrel: Do you ever get the feeling that someone is always watching you?

Regular Tailed Squirrel: Nah, you're just paranoid.
