Weekend Wine Reviews #48

Verdemar Albarino

Verdemar Albarino, 2009, Spain, $7.99.  They say:  full of bright grapefruit flavor and seashell minerality.  We say: grapefruit, tart and sweet, bright.  Buy again:  Definitely!!

Confession - I actually bought this wine, simply because I loved the color of the label and thought it would look pretty sitting on my table.  I was right.

That IS funny. I thought the same thing when I saw the label. I would buy it just because the label is so pretty but your description makes me want to try it for sure.

I'm a sucker for fun and pretty labels too! I seem to have good luck with Spanish wines...red or white. I'll look for this one. Thanks!

OK. I'm not drinking wine right now (dieting, boo hoo), so I'm going back to your cat blogging post. Honestly, Pam. How DO you catch your cats in these fabulous positions??

Hey - we are albariƱo fans here. YAY for non-oaky whites. Will try this one, thanks!
