Weekend Cat Blogging #319

Smudge enjoying the dog days of summer.  He wants to know what that means, anyway.  Why not the cat days of summer?

Don’t worry about it, Smudge (not that he looks like he is worried). Dogs only get the summer. Cats have all year.

Because cats are sensible enough to stay where it’s cool, while dogs are so goofy they go play in the yard with the neighborhood kids, and splash in the water. Smudge looks like he’s never even thought of going near water – a champagne guy, maybe?

Handsome and smart, I think the cat days of summer would be better. Cats know how to relax when it is hot, just stretch out and let the coolness seep in!

Such a beautiful image of sweet Smudge! Indeed… why is it called ‘dog’ days of summer. Let us get that changed. ;)

    Happy Sunday!
