I know it’s Thursday. Well, yesterday I did a book review. And out of the kindness of my heart, I didn’t want you to miss a What Was it Wednesday, (might also have to do with the fact that I still have a zillion photos to work my way through). So, you are looking at July 14, 2009.
Gag. Eggplant. Though I have to admit, this doesn’t look as bad as some eggplant dishes. This is the one thing I do not miss at all by not being in a CSA this year. Strawberries through the entire month of May, yes…eggplant and okra, no.

Looks beautiful! I'm feeling a little bit of CSA pain with okra right now. I like okra, but we've been getting a lot of it!
Eggplant isn't my favorite but pickled okra is good.

I'm rather partial to tempura eggplant. Can't stomach okra.
I used to not like plant but I found I really enjoy it now. This looks great to me. ;-)
