Garden Tuesday ~ The Purple Coneflower Edition

Purple Coneflower

This is what my purple coneflowers look like now.

Purple coneflowers

I leave them uncut all winter.  See the half eaten seeds?  The other half is in some goldfinches belly.  They love them!

I know that it is getting towards fall and winter here in the US, and my Garden Tuesday entries are really getting slim.  But that’s okay.  I didn’t create the link to win any linking contests.  I created it because I do post a garden picture every Tuesday, come rain or shine, snow, or the dark of night.  (I think I just mixed a whole bunch of sayings in that!) So, the linky will be here every Tuesday, if you feel like it, feel free to link up!

I LOVE your Garden Tuesday, yay it will hang in year round. My garden looks like your cone flowers, mostly brown and done for the year. As a new gardener, I’m very interested to see what others do for winter and get some ideas.

I have pincushion plants, which have seedheads like the coneflower. The finches like them too. I have a thousand volunteer pincushion plants because of them. My birds have to eat birdseed out of the feeder – too many plantlets!

The linky thing didn’t appear, but I totally copied this idea from you, and try to post a picture every week. I like seeing what others’ yards look like once a week, during the seasons, and I figure there’s got to be at least 1 or 2 people who feel the same! So, Happy Garden Tuesday!
