While sitting, working on my laptop the other day, I noticed this. What’s up with this philodendron? This one lone rogue vine is making a run for it. I can’t decide whether to put it back down with all of it’s brothers and sisters, or see how far across my living room ceiling it can go.

I would let it roam. It seems to have a mind of it's own...I doubt it'll be held down.
Clearly it's trying to fly the coop. Have you offended it in some way?
I don't know about the plant, but I love the chest of drawers below it!
There's always one in the crowd...... ;-)
Mine has one rogue vertical vine too, with abnormally large leaves. Your Christmas cactuses look great BTW.

That's pretty cool. I would let it ride for awhile and see where it goes-

That is so cool! I don't know what I'd do...probably see how far it went across the ceiling!
It'll leave little footprints on your ceiling. Are you ready to repaint?
I vote for letting it climb. Maybe it's preparing to have you swing across the room Jane....
wow...it's an independent one!!!
you could always cut it and start a new plant...it seems to be independent like that :)

Mine at the office does that... it will leave little "foot prints" beind once removed... but it may be worth it to see how far it will roam. Mine is only about 2 ft. up the wall currently. I've never let it wander very far... but I have moved it to another corner now, and I think I just might.
Oh my gosh! Let it go. You can't cut back on that kind of energy.
How quickly we forget the Day of the Triffids. Ignore this rogue vine at your peril.
I'm just passing by and thought id say hello. We will be receiving some snow this weekend in Pennsylvania, and the leaves are just about at their peek colors. I hope everyone has a very nice weekend. Richard from Amish Stories.
