What Was it Wednesday ~ The Tomatoes Edition

Tomatoes

You’re looking at August 23, 2009.  Tomatoes.  Obviously.  Look at the deep red goodness.  The kind you get from tomatoes at their prime.

You might also note, that apparently, my porch has needed to be painted for quite some time.

****What Was it Wednesday  -  my attempt to work my way through my backlog of cooking photos.

Summer tomatoes with salt and pepper are all you need in life!

Hope you weren't planning to do anything to those beautiful tomatoes other than eat them like candy, right from the bowl. Thanks for the reminder that tomatoes can be vine-ripe and bright red. At this time of year, it's a distant memory.

My mouth is watering.........I am not happy that we are approaching the season when tomatoes don't taste like tomatoes.

We have yet to have a hard frost so I was able to purchase some fresh tomatoes yesterday evening from our local farmer's market. They are not this deep red color. Nor do they have the same deliciousness. But they are much better than what is selling at the local grocery store. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD

I would love these tomatoes right now. And porches always need to be painted. We just keep going.

Tomatoes. Sigh.
My front porch needs painting too. Sigh--but a different kind.
