Garden Tuesday ~ Azaleas

It’s that time of year.

When you can’t walk or drive more than a few feet without resting your eyes on some azalea love.

Makes me glad I live in the south.

Gorgeous, gorgeous and fabulous photo’s Pam! We had some in our yard when we lived in the Pacific Northwest and I loved them. Here – nada, but our pomegranates are in blossom. LOL

What glorious azalea blooms! You are way ahead of us here in SW Washington state–no azaleas yet. They tend to bloom later in the month and May around here, and I love it when they are in bloom!

Hi Pam: Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment–I appreciate it! You talked about growing lettuce in containers. Lettuce works great in containers, and it’s beautiful as well. Just get some seed, some little containers like cottage cheese containers or similar, seed-starting mix, and a grow light or very sunny window, and start some starts. Alternatively, you can find organic lettuce starts all over the place now–I saw some at a local grocery store! Potting soil for the containers, and plant away. You’ll want to water them as needed, and fertilize once a week with an organic fertilizer suitable for leaf production=nitrogen. Very good luck!
