Do you have purple coneflowers in your garden? You should! About the only bad thing I can say about them is that if left alone, they can take over a garden, but with a little heartless weeding, you can keep them in check. Also, if you leave the flowers in the fall to dry, the finches love the seeds!

They look so fragile and yet so beautiful!
I live in a log house, and these are a mainstay of my "cottage" garden. Only down side is that the deer love to chomp on them!
Ooh, our coneflower just came up, too! Thanks for hosting the party. :)
I do have a couple of purple coneflowers and I wish they would take over the garden. I think the rabbits and/or the deer enjoy them.

Not sure my post took, link tool did something wierd.
Anyway. Love your echanaceas. Mine are up and getting bigger. Too early here for blooms, though.

They're a pretty color!
Your butterfly:)
We have lots of purple coneflower, and yes, the finches do love them. I try not to deadhead the flowers until really late in the fall. I love seeing the goldfinches hang out on the flowers.
That's so pretty. Nice photo!
