Boozy Cherries

Boozy Cherries

My favorite thing to make is infused liqueurs.  Though you probably already knew that based on:  Dark Cherry Liqueur and Bourbon Soaked Cherries, Orange Liqueur, Cranberry Liqueur, and Limoncello to name a few!

Besides having all that lovingly infused liqueur to drink, you also have fruit laden with liqueur.  I don’t waste that fruit.  One of my favorite ways to use it is on top of ice cream.  Just spoon out a few pieces of fruit (in this case cherries) and drizzle a smidgen of the liqueur over the top and you have elevated ice cream from a kiddie treat to a decidedly adult dessert.

Perfect.

This will be my entry for Foodie Friday at Designs by Gollum!

I think the only reason I haven't delved into the realm of liqueurs is htat I don't drink very much...but I do eat a fair amount of ice cream! And that seems like reason enough because boozy cherries sound like the ideal topping.

I've seen you use the boozy cherries before. They sure are pretty, even if I can't grab them off my monitor!

Gorgeous. I do this with the damsons that went into making my damson gin.

waste not, want not! an exception to this would be fruit soaked in moonshine--i would not recommend adding this to a bowl of ice cream. :)

I am with you. I rarely eat jams and jellies but I would love some liqueurs and boozy fruits. I think I'll buy a case of cherries!

I have some bourbon just asking to be used for something like this.
