Smudge. Like all of us, he is getting old. When he goes up the steps now, he usually pauses halfway and rests. I believe this look expresses his dislike of old age.

My cat is older now too. She can't jump up on things like she used to but still plays.
Mama says Unca Ryker was like that too. He got glucosamine supplements that seemed to help, but still....
She recognizes the look on Smudge's face. Getting old is NO fun, for sure!

My human Great Aunt Harriet, told Mom last night that aging is not for sissies! Mom shook her head in agreement... so, you are definitely strong and courageous... not to mention wise... I'm a bit slower these days myself...
Stairs are a challenge for many of us these day. Smudge has not lost his beauty or style.
Smudge you are still as beautiful as ever. I hope that you get some good rubs tonight.
I agree with Smudge. We should always take a little rest half way up the stairs. Or install a nice escalator at least! :)

Thanks for supporting WCB this weekend. My turnout was low, but I have been someone absent this year. Plan to be more active soon:)
He is still so precious! My kitty turned 10 this year and every day is a blessing having him with us.
