Garden Tuesday ~ Seed Heads

Sedum Autumn Joy

I have made a vow this year to go out and take 5 photos of my garden every weekend.  Last year I would get lazy and post old photos.  But this is a new year, with new resolutions.

And yes, I realize there are only two photos here.  That’s because I just decided it!  But this way there will be a true representation of my garden.

I encourage you to do the same, that way we can really get a feel for our gardens through the year.

Please join me for Garden Tuesday.

I love the coloring in these photos! Definitely a very different palette from your summer garden.

Beautiful shots of your sedum(?). I love my winter seed heads. I just started keeping my grasses uncut until spring (which I should have done anyway) and I enjoy seeing them this time of year.

I have some seed heads on my Dusty Miller. I didn't have the heart to cut them off, I should now harvest and shake them over the space beside. I like the idea of a vow of photos.

Last year it rained all summer and was cold. This year it's hot and hasn't rained for weeks. The garden is brown and crispy. Only the weeds seem to be flourishing.

Well, if I took a photo of my potager it would be a square of bare dirt... but my Japanese quince are starting to bloom and my lilac has buds... What a good idea!

Beauty in all forms of life (and death). Thank you for drawing us to it. You'll find many amazing things in your garden this winter as you look with your photographers eye. We are eager to see what you will see.
