Acai Superfood Smoothie!
Can we talk about acai smoothies? You know you can make a smoothie from just about any fruit, I’ve enjoyed a Strawberry Banana Kiwi Smoothie, a Ginger Pear Smoothie and an Apple Pie Smoothie. While I’ve loved every single smoothie that I’ve ever made, I thought it was time to up the ante. Kick it up a notch.
An easy way to turn your smoothie into a superfood powerhouse is with acai berries. While I don’t believe they are the cure-all to everything, some studies indicate that are higher in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries. I buy my acai in already frozen fruit puree form – Pure Acai Berry Puree Smoothie Packs. I use one pouch for two smoothie, bringing the cost to about 50 cents a smoothie. Not bad for all the added benefits! Plus, I love the flavor!

- 1 3.5 ounce frozen acai puree
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until the desired consistency.
