Now that I have limited my photography business to primarily doing High School Seniors, I am not totally swamped. I used to spend hours editing photos for my business, plus trying to keep up with blogging. I love the available time I have now! If you read the tagline of my blog, which was written 10 years ago, when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or where I was going to take this, it says, "A blog about food, and a little about reading, and some sewing, and I might even knit something." You can see that it doesn't mention cats or wine, both of which became a big part of this blog.
I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you on the knitting part, but I have found time to start sewing again! I've made a dress for my granddaughter and I've started a second one with a matching dress for her American Girl doll. It feels so good to get back to sewing, plus I consider it decluttering, if you could see my fabric stash, you would understand.
What this has to do with Coco, is that now I have a pretty good morning routine down. While I'm drinking my coffee and eating breakfast, I do all my social media - twitter, yummly, stumble and pin. Then I change to workout clothes and head out to the garden to do 30 minutes of weeding. I am a huge fan of planning my day in 30 minute increments - you can do anything for 30 minutes and just when you've had enough, time is up.
On this particular day, it was dark and cloudy, almost nighttime looking outside. I wanted to hurry up and weed before it started raining. Coco was out helping me by guarding the sidewalk. She almost glowed with everything so dark around her. I managed to get these photos in just before the rain started.
Used Topaz Labs for her artsy photo:

Gorgeous kitty - love your photos! I hear you about how a blog changes and evolves!
When I named mine Fashion Beyond Forty I had no idea I would be writing about so much more!
I am happy that it has evolved and I love the life your blog has taken on as well!
Oh and those days where it is dim out like you are talking about - I love days like that! Enjoy our gardening - isn't it so relaxing and peaceful getting your hands in the dirt!
I love it!

Granny has a kind of same schedule. She does one hour for everything, so she can manage 😀 Your artwork is fantastic again, we like the purple in it and CoCo of course 🙂 Pawkisses for an artsy Caturday

Coco is wonderful in that light and even without the Topaz she is a delight to see. You photograph her so well in her various environments.

Dad likes to plan and does the 30-60 min thing. Now sticking to it is another thing so end of the day check offs are his favorite. Silly man

How nice that you have some extra time now. I have a feeling it will get absorbed somewhere. I also like that you put yourself on a time schedule. I need to do that. Social media sucks up so much of my time.
I don't have a cat but I do hVe a little dog that also likes to hang out in the yard with me. Her artsy photo is great.
Enjoy your weekend. Happy 4th. 🇺🇸

I need to sew a dress for my littlest granddaughter, from fabric given to me by her father's grandmother (complex, I know). I love your Coco kitty; she looks like a calico my grandmother had back in the 60s.

Hi Pam!
I so enjoyed this post. I miss dropping by just to see what's going on. I must say, I like the 30 minute interval thing. I may just give it a try:) I LOVE the notion that you have put some time aside for sewing. I keep thinking one day I too will sew something, lol...I even have a stash of fabric, notions and some reallt cool buttons! (even kitty buttons:) Ah, some day...
The shots of Coco are so intense. I just love them! Thank you so much for sharing, Pam...Keep a sewing, lol....
