Since our neighbor kitties are bullies, and our kitties are chickens, we have moved the catnip up on the back porch in a pot. This allows our kitties to graze without being disturbed. Of course the other cats have figured out our cat door and have found the nip, but at least they don't come up while we are sitting out there. This was taken last Sunday, while we sitting out doing our difficult job of drinking wine for weekend wine reviews. I think Coco decided that if we were getting a little buzz, she needed one too.
In case you're wondering what that bright blue thing is on the settee behind Coco. That's our water gun that we use to run off the other kitties. You should see me out in the yard chasing away some cat with a super soaker!

Hey, that gives me an idea ..... how far does the water stream from the gun go? I need something like that to shoot at the squirrels that get into my bird feeder. The feeder is basically squirrel-proof, but the baby ones can squeeze in. When I throw a fairly large piece of broken tree limb at them, they have to nearly break their neck getting out. So far, no real casualties, but I like to give them a good scare. 🙂

Get the Super Soaker - it shoots really far!

I laughed at the thought of the neighbor kitties going after your catnip. They're addicted! I think I will try growing catnip, too. We let our cat go out in our enclosed patio, but I'm too scared to let him have free rein. So, sometimes we walk him outside with a harness and leash. Haha
Your kitty looks so sweet! 🙂

Our cats would drive us crazy if we didn't let them out!

She's so cute! I love that she nibbles the catnip while you drink wine. Sounds like a perfect weekend!

I know! We are one big happy family on Sunday afternoons 🙂

ZOMG that is hysterical! PLEASE have your hubby take a pic of you with the water gun! 🙂
I've said it before but Coco is SUCH a pretty cat.

I wonder what our neighbors think, seeing me out there with this massive super soaker acting all navy seals!

I am hoping that nip has many varieties because ours in the yard looks very different. Possibly it was mis-tagged at the store by a helpful person.....Sweet photo of Coco!

My husband brought home some one time that looked completely different too, it wasn't catnip!
