Meet Luxie the newest addition to our kitty cat family! A couple of weeks ago, Tim sent me a photo of a kitten in a box. This was strange because it was the middle of the day and he was at work. Turns out a co-worker was driving to work when he heard something. Some sounds coming from his engine which were not engine sounds. He pulled over into a car dealer, Kelly Subaru, to be exact. They worked on the engine for almost two hours and were finally able to extract one very tiny kitten!!
Here is a video showing the "birth" of our new kitten:
The co-worker brought the kitten to work in a box. He was going to take the kitten to the humane society after work if he couldn't get anyone to take it. Well, we all know what happened once Tim sent me the photo, right?
She is so sweet. She loves to cuddle. At first Coco was not impressed, but now they run around chasing each other. Patchouli has met her once and was also not impressed. I'm hoping that her and Coco can stay friends, we have run out of locations to keep cats that don't like each other!!

PepiSmartDog: oh my goodness - she is beautiful! Thank goodness the driver pulled over and they got the kitten out of the engine. Mum (Michele) did a rescue just like in Europe and it was so scary and took hours too. So glad you can keep the kitten - she is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We are always thrilled to see you and hope you’ll be back this week too. *waves paw* :=o)

Oh My Gosh - you are adorable. M wants to cat nap you and keep you forever. Your face is just precious. I probably won't visit again tho - the type on this page is so faint that my old human with bad eyes can barely read it.

SQUEEEEEEE...Our angels Daphne, Thelma and Louise were all engine kittens. A very long story. Luxie is absolutely gorgeous. If our mom had seen that face, she knows she wouldn't have been able to resist. Hope she and the others can remain amicable. Thanks so much for sharing her with us. OMC! Luxie is one lucky kitty. Being in the engine compartment is not a good place to be. We hope she'll be very happy in her new home. 🙂
Jane says
A lucky kitty indeed who found her way to the sidewalk shoes house!
Marjie says
Oh, she's so adorable! My daughter heard some noises under her front porch last weekend, and found 3 really tiny kittens - 3 to 4 weeks old, according to the vet. When the mother didn't come back after a day, she rescued them. She gave the 2 girls to co-workers (nurses), and kept the little grey tiger striped boy for herself. She named him Flea, and she's bringing him home to visit me the week of her sister's wedding. So I'll get to play with a baby kitten, too! Happy Caturday, Pam!
