2016 Luna Rosa Rosado
2016 Luna Rosa Rosado, Central Ranges, Australia, Wine Awesomeness Wine Club. 76% Merlot, 24% Mourvedre. This wine hales from the Central Ranges of Australia. It is particularly interesting because it is created using Portuguese winemaking techniques in a "New World" region. You can see the Portuguese influence in the traditional Portuguese Polished Stones on the wine label. These tiles are a vivid representation of all things Portugal. The wine has a reddish tint and showcases the various tints that are available in the rosé family.
On the nose - fresh and fragrant with notes of bright berries and ripe red cherries. On the palate - light bodied, slightly effervescent and bright with notes of more berries and cherries. Fruity, light-bodied with a delightfully refreshing acidity.
We say: We picked up notes of strawberries and loved the slight effervescent. Very easy drinking. Perfect summer wine!

My husband would probably love this wine with the cherry notes... although, I love wine in the summer months!
