A review of Alexandria Nicole Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 for Weekend Wine Reviews #281.
Alexandria Nicole Cabernet Sauvignon, Alderdale Estate Grown, Destiny Ridge Vineyards, 2012. $37. They say: Carefully selected, blended, and barrel aged for 24 months this estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and chewy, with a captivating combination of fresh black cherry, violets and vanilla dominating the highly perfumed nose. The seductive bouquet is loaded and is further lifted by the broad mid palate, packed with blackberry jam, ripe plum and hints of spice and clove. The wine is dry with firm savory tannins that roll steadily all the way through the long and muscular finish that supports its juicy freshness. We say: raspberries and spice, balanced tannins. We pretty much agree with everything they say! A favorite! Buy again: yes!
We bought this wine at their tasting room, actually bought two bottles and brought them home with us. So good!
