This Blackberry Martini is gorgeous and so refreshing!  It gets an extra boost of flavor from cassis.  Just four ingredients:  vodka, cassis, blackberries and lime juice are all you need to make this delicious fruity martini!

    Fruity Cocktails

As soon as all the spring and summer fruits start appearing at the Farmer's Markets and the grocery stores, my mind immediately turns to fruity cocktails.   There is just nothing better than sitting on your back porch, sipping a refreshing fruity mixed drink.

Blackberries are one of my favorite fruits to use in fruity drinks with vodka.  This Blackberry Ginger Beer Cocktail makes it's rotation every time blackberries are on sale.  This Blackberry Vodka allows you to enjoy your blackberry cocktails all year long!

Ingredients in this Blackberry Vodka Martini

There are only four ingredients in this luscious fruity martini!  That's one of the things I love about martini's, they don't usually require many ingredients!

Vodka - since this the main liquor, you want to use a good quality vodka, this is not the time for the cheap stuff.

Cassis - a darkly colored, sweet black currant liqueur.   It tastes like a cross between a blackberry and a pomegranate.  You can read more about Cassis - 3 Reasons You Should Be Using Cassis Now!   If you can't find cassis, you can substitute raspberry liqueur, or just omit and have a plain blackberry martini.

Blackberries - for muddling and garnish.

    Lime Juice - freshly squeezed.

Step 4 - add 1 ounce cassis to cocktail shaker.

Step 5 - add 1 ounce lime juice to cocktail shaker.

Step 6 - add ice to cocktail shaker.

Step 7 - Shake cocktail for about 15-20 seconds.  Pour out ice from cocktail glass.  Pour cocktail into glass using a fine mesh strainer.

    The Best Blackberry Martini

This was so good!  We sat out on the back porch enjoying the spring weather and sipped our fruity martini.  We should have made a pitcher of martinis, because they were that good!  Fruity and refreshing, the sweetness perfectly balanced with the lime juice.
