Blood orange season runs from December to April, so we like to grab them whenever we can find them in the stores.
That deep red color and their sweet flavor makes them perfect to use in both cocktails and savory recipes!
We have gathered together a collection of our favorite recipes using blood oranges! Mostly cocktails (no surprise there) but also a fresh and delicious salad!
Up first we have a Blood Orange Martini! With only 3 ingredients, it's so easy and you are going to love sipping this sweet and tangy cocktail!
Whiskey sours are one of our favorite cocktails, so of course we had to come up with a Blood Orange Whiskey Sour!
Citrus and whiskey are the perfect match. The blood orange juice is a little bit sweeter, so you can easily adjust how much simple syrup you add.
Tequila makes everything better, right?! We have margaritas almost every Saturday night (we're big on tradition here, especially when it involves tequila.)
We love our margaritas with a little orange juice anyway (hello.... Orange, Lemon and Lime Margarita) so adding blood orange instead to make a Blood Orange Margarita was a no brainer!
