This is my annual wrap up post of books read for the year. I do this every year, and then start a clean fresh column of books read. I move this list over into the section marked "my favorite pastime", so you can find my books read by the year. It's hard to believe, I've been doing this for 3 years! That's a lot of books. Good for you. I enjoyed Molly Wizenberg's Homemade Life that was on your list. I just finished Chocolate & Zucchini and liked it so much I gave a copy (not mine) to my brother-in-law.
Have you read "The Sharper Your Knive the Less You Cry" by Kathleen Finn? It's a story about attending Le Cordon Bleu, a place we've all dreamed of at one time or another.

I am so jealous, I wish I had time for half as many books. I may manage 4 a year with my busy schedule and can't put them down when I get started.
Amy says
Wow, Pam. That's some list. Holy cow. I long for the day I can get through a book without being interrupted or fall asleep a few pages in. Everyone keeps saying that when both my kids are finally in school FT, "I won't know what to do with myself." I beg to differ.
Kasha says
Geesh! This is why one of my goals this year is to read more books. I love to read, but are you kidding me with how many books you have read! Amazing!Good job! Thanks for motivating me.

You are amazing! With everything else you have going on, you read 59 books - wow.
Question: Is "The Help" the last book you read in 09 or the first?
Lori Lynn says
Wow. Your appetite is inspiring.
Happy new year, wishing you a wonderful 2010!

I see you don't have "She Got Up off the Couch" on there. I'm waiting to see what you think before I get it. I just finished Sue Grafton's U Is for Undertow. Much darker than her others.
Oh, I'm so glad you're going to rate them.

Looks like you were a busy reader this year! I'm wondering where you find the time for all of your hobbies:D

How did you like Outliers, I've been thinking about getting it but wasn't so bowled over by Blink.
I will have to check out Wishful Drinking, I liked her other stuff.
Terri and Bob says
We read a lot of the same stuff! I am reading The Help now and LOVED the Outliers book. I am reading another called What the Dog Saw by the same author. This is a neat idea. I think I will do this in 2010!

You read some wonderful books-The Poisonwood Bible, Confections of a Master Baker-The Help-If you enjoyed The Help-read Someone Knows my Name aka The Book of Negroes-incredible they were my favorite two of the year. I just returned from Canada-the author is Canadian and there you can purchase it as an illustrated book-if I had not read it and did not have 5 million more books to read it would be on my shelf.f it is a collector for sure. Their large book store their is Chapters-there is also Amazaon.ca are you on Goodreads-I am going to send you me email-so we can exchange.

I am so impressed! Looks like a huge variety as well. I hope you'll tell us your favorite, or your top 5.
I didn't do nearly as much reading this year as I usually do. Even if I read a "not so great" book, I try to finish it. I've seen a number of those on my nightstand this year. Why is that? Maybe life it too short to keep reading stinky books! What do you think?
All Our Fingers in the Pie says
Oh my gosh! You are an avid reader. That is more than one a week and doesn't even include cookbooks! Good for you.
