Luxie Kitty

We are back this week with a few photos of Luxie kitty!  I don’t know what it’s like where you are, but we finally have a break from the heat!  It feels so good!  I’ve been leaving the door open to the screened in back porch and letting Luxie come and go as she wants, when I am working in the kitchen.

I can’t leave her when I go downstairs to work on the computer, because I just have something pulled in front of the cat door leading to outside and she is smart enough to figure out how to move it out of the way.  Though, she doesn’t seem interested in trying to get out any more, she just lays out there and watches the birdies and the squirrels, I still don’t feel comfortable leaving her out there if I’m not close to check on her.

Speaking of squirrels, she has plenty activity to watch there.  We have several oak and hickory trees in our backyard.  So many you have to be careful walking through because the nuts are either falling on their own or a busy squirrel is up there dropping them to the ground.  The acorns don’t hurt, but the hickory nuts do, especially when they hit you on the head.

The squirrels are just going crazy.  They are sitting on the fence, munching on nuts all the time, or else they are running around burying them.  I find all these little dug up areas all over the yard.

Luxie said it’s exhausting trying to watch all the squirrels.  She’ll watch for awhile, but then a very long nap is in order.  I hope you all are having gorgeous weather too.  We still haven’t gotten the rain we need, and I am still dragging the sprinklers around, but I don’t have to do it so often since we aren’t crazy hot.

Used Topaz labs for my artsy photo:

My birthday was this past Tuesday and got this wonderful fall weather as my gift. So thrilled.

Yes, the squirrels are crazy busy. Arya watches them from the top of my bookshelves in my bedroom…birds too…and making those chirping noises the entire time. She also needs a nap after.

It’s hard work watching all the birds, squirrels and other critters. That’s why kitties take so many naps.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

Beautiful Luxie. Mom says it is a nightmare time of year to walk dogs because the squirrels really are nuts gathering food for the winter now. We all go crazy with so many squirrels.

    Such a beautiful calico girl!
Yeah, my kitty likes to go out on my back porch as well, but even if I don’t want to join her outdoors I’ll sit or stand nearby and keep watch.

It’s amazing, and worrying you still have that heat and dry your way. I do hope it breaks for all of you—though for us cats, lounging around as we do, we don’t really need the excuse. 😉

Luxie is a beauty. I am glad you keep an eye on her when she is outside. My hubby got bonked in the head by a chestnut yesterday. Luckily it was just the not and not the pointy burr.

That is a lovely photo and effect. Luxie looks so sweet with her arms folded.
I wish I could send you some of our rain. We have had heavy rain for almost a week with the same forecast for the next week. It has stopped at the moment but due to start again in a couple of hours time. everything is waterlogged.

We’re glad it’s not so hot for you now. It’s raining here in the UK, which is normal for us, but it’s not very cold yet.

    Great photos as always!
