Phlox and Bunnies | Garden Tuesday

LAST UPDATED: February 1, 2019 PUBLISHED: May 12, 2015 By Pam Greer 16 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

    White phlox, picket fence, birdbath

I've shared this story before, but I'll share it again to put the photos in perspective.  Several years ago our next door neighbor bought one of those bags of wildflower seeds.  We both have a small wooded area in our backyards and have flower beds surrounding those.  He scattered the seeds on his beds and had a gorgeous crop of wildflowers that year.

Gradually most of the wildflowers moved to our back yard!  I have no idea what any of them are called, but we just let them pop up wherever they want.  You can see the tall white ones, which looks like some sort of phlox to me.  We also have white and purple Lunaria Annua - which is also called, Honesty, Annual honesty, Silver Dollar, Moneywort, Moonwort, Penny Flower, Money Plant.  It is called the money plant because it's seed pods resemble coins.

This year we have these little white flowers that look like miniature daisies popping up all over.  I'm sure they are some sort of weed, but they are kind of cheery!  Here they are in the herb bed.

    White phlox?

What do you think?  Does anyone recognize the tall white flowers?  Some sort of phlox?

Delightful shots. Gardens full of wildflowers are one of my fave types. The white flowers are phlox, I agree.
Many thanks for linking up with Floral Friday Fotos, I look forward to your next contribution!

Free wildflowers are a good deal! Plus, I'm sure Mr. Sidewalk Shoes loves NOT mowing that portion of the yard!

Those flowers are beautiful! It's really neat how you have wild flowers popping up randomly like that. I'd love to do that in my yard but we have so many weeds that they'd quickly over take them and we'd have to mow them all off.

Luckily ours have popped up just where we would like them too!
