Random Calico Cat Photos
Once again, I am going through my huge backlog of cat photos. Deleting the rubbish ones and editing and posting the ones that I like. These are from a couple of years ago when Luxie was a teenager. She was going through a long and lanky phase. Now, she is in her husky big-boned phase! (We've been working on some playtime exercising.)
Here she is in her favorite spot on the blue table in front of the dining room window. She can see out into the neighborhood. She's such a good kitty, she doesn't bother the orchids at all!
Kitty and the Stairs
Luxie loves the stairs. She likes to go up them like ninja kitty by climbing up using her claws on the outside of the stairs and then squeezing in between the posts.
She also loves to get lots of love and attention through the posts. As soon as she hears Mr. Sidewalk Shoes come home from work, she dashed halfway up the stairs and waits there for him. As he's walking to take his coat to the hall closet, he stops to give her some love and pettings.
Light and Shadows Kitty Cat
I just like the way the blinds created a striped shadow on her. I also like her perfect shadow outline! You might also notice the Dr. Seuss books on the bookshelf. When we adopted our daughters, our next door neighbor brought over the books for them. It was so sweet.
Cat Expressions
Out of all of cats, I think the Luxie has the most facial expressions. I don't know what it is about her that's different, but you can see emotions cross her face. I don't notice it so much with Patchouli and Coco, they pretty much seem to always look the same.
What about you, do you have a cat that has many expressions?
For my artsy photo, I used Topaz Labs:

So photogenic. I love a cats personality. They are all different and they are so independent.

Oh yes, she is very expressive! Mom says I'm expressive with my eyes. She can tell when I'm in a playful mood, feeling poorly, frisky, curious, cautious, mischeivious, and so on by my eyes.

These are all so pretty! Do your orchids continue to bloom? Mine haven't bloomed a second time and I've had it almost a year.
Pam Greer says
Yes, mine bloom several times a year. I have them in a west facing window which they seem to like.

Every one a winner and a delightful look into Luxie's and your life together over the years. PLUS we love how the artwork brings out so much more in her coat and colours and surroundings.

Memories of Eric and Flynn says
The art is beautiful.
Flynn had a very expressive face and you could tell exactly what he was thinking or how he was feeling. Eric always had the same expression, easy going with not a care in the world.

It's funny how some cats have expressions, isn't it?
