Thyme Simple Syrup
Infusing simple syrup with thyme is so easy and it really kicks up your cocktail game! Can also be used in tea or even in cooking!
- 1 cup sugar superfine
- 1 cup water
- 4 thyme sprigs
Stir the water and sugar together in a non reactive pan over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Let simmer for about 2 minutes. Rub the thyme leaves between your hands as you drop them into the water/sugar mixture. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes
Strain through a fine sieve to remove the thyme leaves into a sterilized jar. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
