Asian Slaw

This Asian Slaw is light and flavorful with ginger and cilantro. The perfect accompaniment to hot and spicy Asian food!

  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tbsp ginger finely grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper


  • Add the cabbage, cilantro, and onions to a bowl.
  • Whisk together the vinegar, sugar, ginger and red pepper flakes, until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.
  • Taste and add salt and pepper if desired.



Omit the red pepper flakes if you don't want any heat. 
Store the ginger in the freezer and grate with a microplane - so easy!
