  • Channel Knife
  • Collins Glass

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 4 ounces ginger beer
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters 1/8 of a teaspoon
  • 1 Lemon Peel

Instructions

  • Using a channel knife or vegetable peeler, create as long of a lemon twist as you can.
  • Drape the twist around the glass and hang over the edge and fill the glass with ice.
  • Pour the bourbon into the glass and top with ginger beer.
  • Add the dash of bitters and stir.

Notes

A channel knife will give you a long thin twist, a vegetable peeler will give you a wider flat peel. 
Using the freshest lemon you have works best, older lemons have tougher skin. 
Serve this without the bourbon for an easy mocktail.
