Pansy Simple Syrup
Use edible pansies to make this light and floral simple syrup! It's perfect for cocktails, delightful drizzled on desserts and makes impressive mocktails!
Flip top bottle
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup pansy flower petals
- 1 cup water
Tear the floral petals off of the stem and the base of the flower. Add the petals and the sugar into the bowl of food processor and pulse until combined.
Heat the sugar/petal mixture with a cup of water over medium high heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer and let cool to room temperature.
Store in a lidded bottle in the fridge.
This should keep for about a month in the fridge.
How to use pansy simple syrup:
- Drizzle on poundcake, custards or yogurt.
- Cocktails - like a Pansy Martini.
- Drizzle on fruit salad.
