  • Half-Gallon Mason Jar
  • Mesh strainer
  • Flip top bottle

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cups vodka

  • Place the blueberries, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and stir to combine. Using the back of a wooden spoon, gently press on the berries to break the skins.
  • Place the blueberry mixture in a large glass jar. Pour in the vodka. Shake.
  • Place a lid on the vodka and store away from direct sunlight for 2-4 weeks or until desired strength is achieved.
  • Strain the blueberries out and store the vodka in a lidded bottle in your pantry or liquor cabinet.

Note - the nutritional information also includes the blueberries, which are strained out, so it is probably off in it's calculations.
This will keep almost indefinitely, however after 6 months to a year it will start to lose it's bright fresh flavor.
