Ingredients

cup
molasses
unsulphured
½
cup
ketchup

Dijon mustard

navy beans
(3) 15 ½ ounce canned, rinsed and drained

onion

bacon
salt and black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375.
Cut the onions in half lengthwise and then cut into ¼ inch slices.
Cut the bacon slices in half crosswise.
In a bowl mix together the molasses, ketchup, and mustard. Add the beans and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Scoop the beans into a 2 or 3 quart casserole dish with a lid.
Scatter the onions on top and then lay the bacon on top of them.
Bake for 30 minutes, covered. Uncover and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes, then stir before serving.
Notes
If you want your beans a little sweeter you can add a tablespoon of brown sugar
