2cups broccoli rabe cut into ½ inch pieces or broccoli florets
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400. Heat a large, ovenproof skillet (cast iron is perfect) over medium high heat. Add sausage, breaking it up and cook until lightly browned about 5 minutes. Add onions and garlic and continue cooking about 3 more minutes.
Add the rice and stir until rice is coated. Add the wine and bring to a boil and cook until the rice absorbs most of the wine. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Remove from the burner and place skillet in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes. Add the broccoli on the top and continue to back for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir and then let stand for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Sausage - you can use regular Italian sausage or chicken works well too!Rice - arborio or regular white rice. If you use brown rice you need to increase the temperature.
