    Garden Tuesday ~New Years Resolutions~

Store bought bouquet in blue mason jar.

What do New Year’s Resolutions have to do with Garden Tuesday?  Nothing really, except that it’s cold.  Very cold.  We aren’t getting above freezing for 3 days!  I know, some parts of the country are way worse than us, but this is the south.  I have acclimated to the south.  I haven’t gone so far as to say “fahr” for “fire” but I have grown used to a moderate winter.

That’s a round about way to say that I stayed inside for Garden Tuesday this week.  If I showed you outside, it would be crunchy grass and frozen birdbaths.  But I do have something “gardeny” to show you for Garden Tuesday – this vase of flowers on my dining room table, which finally brings me around to my New Year’s Resolution.   I’ve made one simple resolution and that is to have fresh flowers on my table every day.  That’s it.  In the summer, they will be my flowers from my garden (note to self, buy a package of zinnia seeds), in the winter, the grocery stores.  Now, I don’t mean that I’ll buy flowers everyday, I’m pretty cheap and buy the bouquets with mums and daisies, which last forever!  This bouquet cost me $4 and it makes happy.  I also took a few of the purple mums and put them in little vases on the window sill in my kitchen.  Again, it makes me happy.  This is four dollars, well spent.

So, how about you?  What’s in your garden this week?  Or feel free to just link up a pretty picture!

Please join me for Garden Tuesday.

Love fresh flowers on the kitchen windowsill. I buy the cheap bouquets when I don't have anything to pick in my own garden.

I have tuilps on my grocery list:)

I am frugal too for that..as I feel my gardens feed that love so well from May -Oc..but come winter..I am with you..not sure about every day..but I plan on seeing more:)

Your bouquet looks picked not bought.. I like that:)
And love the jar..my friend in the USA sent me some..I was so happy as they were not available here.

Fresh flowers are like a smile every single day. As we move back into a stick-built house, I'm planning on planting some flowers that I can have in the house.
      Love your blue jar!!!

Simple resolutions are the best, Pam. I love your pretty table flowers. I think I may just "copy" you until we get a few more blooms around here. Come on Spring!!! Thank you so much for sharing, Pam...

I just wrote myself a note to remember Garden Tuesday next week:)

I've always loved your blue mason jars! You've inspired me to buy flowers every week. I'm usually at Trader Joe's to get wine, so why not? ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay warm. You may be in the South, but it's all relative, right? Only 71 days until Spring. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like your sunny warm image of the flowers Pam. So pretty. We could use a little warmth and sunshine here too as there is nothing but a big pile of snow in my gargen. Let us hope Spring does not keep us waiting long.

Sounds like a resolution that will be easy to keep and brighten your days. My only resolution was to keep any resolutions I made.
