    Virginia Bluebells Garden Tuesday

    Virginia Bluebells

Virginia bluebells agains a white picket fence.

This is such a wonderful time of the year to be a gardener.  Every day new miracles seemed to have popped up overnight.  I could take photos every hour and I probably still couldn't document all the changes.  One of my favorite flowers are these Virginia Bluebells.  They are so unusual.  The flower buds are a deep pink.  Then as the flowers open they gradually turn to their blue color!   They are so easy to grow.  We started out with one clump, but have since divided them and now have little clumps of them throughout the yard.  We have them planted right on the edge of the shade - so they get the afternoon sun.

Does anyone know what these little white wildflowers are?  They popped up new this year and they are so pretty and diminutive.

It's snowing. I'm posting cookies today instead of yet another snowstorm.

My time will come..but not yet..
This is the first time someone has shown the VB so close..I am amazed at how it resembles our Pulmonaria..but many of my pulmonaria leaves are spotted.
I Googled your little white one..I thought the leaves were anemone~ish..they seem to be meadow anemones~
      Lucky you.
