We are still considered to be in a severe drought, though we are picking up a little rain here and there. It's just so sad to think that we need rain and yet parts of California are getting way too much rain. I am hoping that this spring and summer is much better than last year. I pretty much ran sprinklers every single day, rotating them to a different part of the yard. It also seems that no matter how many times I do it, I manage to have to rethink it every time. I also manage to get blasted in the face with water at least a couple of times a week.
I need to walk around and take photos of all the trees and bushes that are already blooming. In February! I know from my Instagram feed, that a lot of you are facing the same thing. Gorgeous, warm weather bringing an early spring. This worries me though, since our last frost free date is April 15th. There is a lot of time between now and then.

I love the smell of the garden after it rains and the bejewelled petals and leaves. We've had a little rain too and cool nights are following hot days. At least we can sleep now.
