If you were to drive down my street today, you would be hard pressed to find a house without some azaleas blooming. They were obviously the landscaping of choice 20+ years ago when our subdivision was being built and they still are. Our azaleas are not looking so good this season (the above photo is a cheat – it’s my neighbors). They are over 20 years old and every year they get trimmed into a ball to keep them from growing up and covering our windows. I hate that. I love to see azaleas in their natural bush form, so light and airy.
Every year, we purchase a few new plants for our garden. Here they are, waiting to be potted, relaxing for a bit next to St. Frances. We got some more lavender because I am horrible at keeping mine pruned and it is a big woody mess. I also stumbled across this full sun floxglove. I’ve had no luck with floxglove in my back yard, so I thought I would give this full sun variety a chance in the front.
Just another shot of St. Frances and the green. I just love spring, all the various shades of green and everything looking so fresh.
How about you, what’s in your garden this week? And, please, I encourage you to stop by and visit the other bloggers linking up!

The azaleas are very pretty! I do not have much luck with lavender and gave up on them, at least, for the time being! Just linked a post on my little Pomegranate tree.
Happy Gardening!

Hi, We have lots of Azaleas also around here. Once the dogwoods all stop blooming, the Azaleas put on a show.
Someone gave me a Foxglove last year --but it hasn't come back this year...???? It's in partial shade....Don't know if the bitter winter hurt it or not.
Our Irises are putting on a show for us now and our first ROSE bloomed yesterday.
Hugs,
Betsy
