My pink phlox is always so pretty at this time of year. From a distance it looks likes pink cotton candy.
My crepe myrtle is about finished blooming.
We sure could use some rain around here. Now, I know we are no where as bad off as the drought stricken areas, but I was so spoiled by last year's regular rainfall. Still, I have only had to run the sprinklers once, but our yard doesn't look nearly as nice as our neighbors who have an automatic sprinkler system that runs every morning.

It does look like cotton candy (or candy floss, as it's known in British circles)! Such a pretty pink. Your crepe myrtle is still full of color, too.

I love learning how other countries pronounce flowers. I like "candy floss."

Your crepe myrtle looks a lot like my spirea. It's sad that flower season is winding down.

The darn California drought claimed my Crepe Myrtle tree. Sadly, it's no more. GREG

I miss phlox. For sure not enough water here to grow them, so thanks for the pics. If you deadhead your crape myrtles, will they re-bloom (at least what you can reach)? that works here.

Pam, your Phlox is so pretty. I have it on our list to add next year. Our crepe myrtles are about gone too, but they sure were pretty. We've gotten more rain this year than usual and our tomatoes weren't nearly as good as last year because of it. Our rain comes from the west over your way, maybe we'be been getting your share. I would love to turn it around and head it back your way 🙂
Thanks for hosting.
