This is probably the worst year for spring blossoms in Chattanooga that I've seen in a long time. After such a warm winter, several trees blossomed way too early. A below freezing cold snap for a couple of nights in a row, turned all their flowers brown. The Bradford Pears, which normally seem to bloom for weeks, were done in a day or two. Even shrubs and trees that are blooming now are not very heavy in flowers. You can see from this flowering shrub above. The flowers are normally covering this shrub and this year they are very sparse. It too started blooming way too early. Still it's one of my favorite shrubs. I have no idea what it is, it belongs to a neighbor.
What's spring looking like around your house?
