    Pink Hues of Oakleaf Hydrangea

LAST UPDATED: February 12, 2019 PUBLISHED: February 29, 2016 By Pam Greer 12 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

A few photos of my oakleaf hydrangea.

    Oakleaf Hydrangea

These are not current garden photos, I am still trying to work my way through my 1000+ garden photos in my Lightroom garden folder!

One of the things I love about oakleaf hydrangeas is that they go through so many color phases.  This was taken last June when they were in their rosy phase.  So soft and pretty, don't you think.   Here are some more of my posts on them, you can see the different stages:  Oakleaf hydrangea,  Oakleaf hydrangea,  and Oakleaf hydrangea.

Another favorite in my garden is Goat's Beard.  Or at least I think it's Goat's Beard - but when I googled that it doesn't really look like those.  Anyone know what it is?

I love hydrangea -i have one outdoors - this one -and a Blue one inside (the normal one)! Interestingly, the maple one is much sturdier than the other and has survived even frost at 3000 feet!
Hope you will add me to our link list. Just began a new meme called SEASONS - anything goes, so you can add your hydrangea or another thumbnail from your archives:)
The link is open from Mon - Wed. till 7 pm (pacific time) in my post "Seasons - March is on!" Hope to see you there with one of your beautiful photos!

      Hi Pam:)
Although I don't have any Hydrangea in the garden, I do love their "shabby chic" appeal and really should think about finding a place for at least one. Yours is simply lovely.

I think you're right about the Goat's Beard however, my first thought when I saw that second plant was Strife. I don't know why that popped into my head because I don't think it is usually white but, perhaps it is in the same family. Whatever it is, I like it:)

      Thanks for sharing, Pam...

My hydrangea won't flower for months. They are still holding last fall's dried flowers. Thanks for the reminder of what they will look like again some day!
